About Us

Paul Crane the founder of Antip Marine has been in and around boats since a boy enjoying trips to Rottnest with his family on their family boats.  This developed a love for all things floating which led to studying marine engineering and then onto mechanical engineering. From there Paul worked for Austal Ships designing and documenting systems for super yachts and high speed ferries then worked for Hanseatic Marine designing, documenting then commissioning Silver hull number 001 .

As well as engineering design and documentation Paul was also involved in the importation  and distribution of boats from Japan and construction of boats out of China suppling all the ribs for the ISAF sailing regatta and distributing "UB Boats". This also led to getting involved with boat trailers founding "BG Trailers" and acquiring the rights for "Bulldog Folding Trailers"

Wanting to increase his skills further he undertook and completed the following qualifications -

  • Advanced Diploma of Mechanical and Marine Engineering (Watchkeeper)
  • Coxswain (Certificate 111 in Transport and Distribution)
  • Certificate 1V in Transport and Distribution (Firefighting and fire management)
  • Certificate Elements of Shipboard Safety
  • Radio Operators Certificate
  • Certificate of Personal Survival Techniques 
  • Certificate of Elementary First Aid 
  • Senior First Aid
  • Certificate of Safety Training
  • Certificate of vessel engine maintenance
